The oceans monster

Far far away  in a dark night,a pregnant woman called Natalia was going to swim to the ocean, but when she arrived she saw that the water had a diferent color it was purple! but she didn't care and began to swim.

30 minutes later big waves carried her to the middle of the ocean and it turned yellow and natalia's stomach became transparent so she could see her baby that began to move and went of her body, he was called Juan,but this babby was a monster he had 6 legs and 3 eyes. Natalia wasa very scared but she promised herself to take care of her baby.

2 hours later the waves carried Natalia and Juan back to the beach, she was very scared and ran to her  house, she told everything to her husband but he got scared and left her alone.

Natalia was feeling very bad because she didn't had a husband neather a house or a place to sleep and she had a son who was a monster. To survive Natalia made Juan work at the circus, there he passed very sad times because everybody laughed of him.
Six months later he got crazy and became a very dangerous person, he escaped from the circus and ran away. Natalia asked of they had seen Juan, but  they didn't answer because they didn't liked Juan 
Juan went to the house of his only friend Samuel that lived at 200 miles they went to a costume store and Juan changed his  look, but he still looked like a monster. In Samuel's city people aslo discriminated Juanso he decided to return to his city.When Juan  arrived he found her mother sleeping under a bridge and asking for money, so Juan purposed Natalia to live in the forest and she agreed.
So they began their trip. They ate fruits that they found in the trees and slept in caves. Natalia and Juan were finally happy nobody was discriminating Juan and he had many friends. Natalia and Juan only ate fruits and it was helping Juan's appereance each day he was more handsome, but at night he became a monster again.
Six months later a wood company destroyed the forest, so Natalia and Juan had to return to the city, but nobody gave them money neather a job.
One night Natalia got very sick, Juan carried her inmediatly to an hospital, but they didn't attended her and Juan got very angry and destroyed it.So Juan decided to carry her to the ocean were he had borned, suddenly she began to breath, her skin changed into purple,2 legs appeared and her nose became a new eye. She was a monster!
As everybody was scared of them they decided to scare and still the turists for buying food.

Introduction

 Every body knows the wáter pollution is a problem  that affects all the world,now days The water in the world is getting more and more polluted. The animals that live there are dying because of it.  we have less than 1% of water available to drink, people continue polluting and this percentage is getting each time lower and while some people are wasting water, others need it .

Bogota river

 Since the formation of this river it is full of contamination it is the biggest open sewer of Colombia it has a lot of biological and chemical pollutants and the most common are: chromium and lead this is an example of what could happen if we continue throwing garbage to to clean rivers. 

Our campain

Our campain is about the water pollution , our mision is to stop the contamination and the waste of water.

Water pollution is a very worrying global problem the wich on is the first cause of deaths and diseases in the world, the main cause is because not everybody has acces to potable water to drink, a bathroom or a shower, althougth the countries that have acces to it throw many contaminating elememts. 
Tips:

•  · Take short showers.
• · Don’t throw garbage to the rivers, seas, lakes  or oceans.
• · If it is posible reuse the water.
• · Close the sink while you brush your teeth.
• · Dont overuse the fertilizers because it causes eutrophication.

 The water pollution has been separated into two categories:

POINT SOURCES: They are the contaminants that get into a water canal from a single known source like pipes or ditches.

NON-POINT SOURCES: They are contaminants that dont come from a single known source.

The pollutants are classificated in  two categories :

Organic:

· Detergents

· Insectisides

· Garbage

· Petrolium, gasoline and diesel fuel.

Inorganic:

· Fertilizers

· Chemical waste

Our project for the third and fourth bimester is about the water pollution, we have to investigate a problem about it, take 2 hypothesis, make a survey,stadistics and conclusions.


Water pollution:

Problem

The water in the world is getting more and more polluted. The animals that live there are dying because of it. Nowdays less than 1%  of water is available to drink and while some people are wasting water, others need it.

Hypothesis

If we continue polluting the water, the percentage of available water to drink will get lower.

Animals will disappear , if we continue polluting the water

Conclusion

As a conclusion we could say that most of the people surveyed know about this theme, and we made some conclusions that are: the water pollution affects water humans, this contamination can change the temperatures of the ocean, also it can generate changes in the evaporation process, if the marine animals die food chain could be in danger and that the pollutants go to the clouds and living thing after they arrive to the ocean.

Thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth thursday of november. In this day people give thanks of all the things that they have.It is not celebreted in all the world, but it is very popular. This year in the school we made a tree  in which we wrote in each leaf a message to someboby who we wanted to give thanks or ask for forgiveness. After that we made a turkey, a pilgrim, an indian or a hat with fommy,we also brang food and shared it. ¡It was delicious!.Finally we passed in front of the class and talked about what we wrote in the leaves.This is a very special day of the year.

Black and White festival (Pasto)

I selected this festival because I liked the way people celebrate their skin color. This festival is located in Pasto- Nariño in this festival people paint their skins and celebrate the diferent skin colors that they have. On january 3th is made El Carnivalito, it is when the kids participate and paint their skins. On january 4th is the parade of the Castañeda family. On january 5th is the black day in this day people paint their bodies of black.On january 6th is the white day in this day people paint their bodies of white.I think that Juan Jose's presentation was good he explained good the theme and he had good vocalization.

International festival: Glastonbury Festival

The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is a performing arts  festival that takes place in south west England at a Worthy Farm between the small villages of Pilton and Pylle in the county of Somerset, six miles east of the town of Glastonbury.This festival is famous because of its contemporary music, but also for dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and other arts. This festival, usually lasts three or four days in the open air, the people that go there stay in tents, caravans and motorhomes. The last year 135,000 tickets were sold . Most of the people that help in this festival are volunteers( these volunteers don’t pay ticket). The first festival was on 1970 and Since 1981, the festival has been organized by local farmer and site owner Michael Eavis (with his company Glastonbury Festivals Ltd). Eavis organized the festival with his wife Jean until her death in 1999, and is now assisted by his daughter Emily Eavis. Most people who stay at Glastonbury Festival camp in a tent. This festival is made every year except every fifth  year because of the Olympics.

National festival: Rock al parque

Rock al Parque, is a rock music festival that takes place in Bogotá, Colombia, since 1995. The festival's entry is free. In 2004, 400,000 people reached the event. It is considered the most important rock festival in Latin America. The first edition of this festival happened during May 26 ^th  and 29^th . Nowadays the festival takes place over three days at Bogotá's Simon Bolivar Park. The principal music genres of this festival are: ska, punk, hardcore and metal. This festival has national and international artists. Here the security measures are very strict The sale of alcohol at Rock al Parque is not aloud, as is smoking artists are not allowed to get in if they are wearing belts with metallic buckles, as these can be used as weapons, all artists have to go through a routine security inspection before entering the stage.
